About Steven Barrett

Steven Barrett

I believe that art is born of life experience. Whether it comes from an immediate visual experience or some vague subconscious impression of the psyche, it is all the same - an abstraction of the cumulative knowledge of the artist. My own work is perhaps a marriage of subjective experience and that which can best be described as intellectual expression. As an artist, I hope the viewer comes away with a greater sense of the diversity of artistic expression and has added something positive to his or her own life experience. Images - Steven Barrett.
